Ann Zellhoefer
Piano, Theory
Ann Zellhoefer studied at the University of New Mexico and the University of Iowa and holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, Piano and Voice. While in Iowa she taught elementary music, guest conducted elementary and mid-high honor choirs and founded the Gold Star Singers and Search for a Star Competition. Ann became a high school choral director, church choir conductor, festival adjudicator and clinician at the University level, in Music and Movement. She performed three times in Carnegie Hall, directing and playing for two jazz ensembles and a concert choir. From her musical theater background in Albuquerque, Ann has been the musical director for community theater in Iowa. For the last five years Ann has been active as an accompanist and organist, as well as piano instructor at the El Paso Conservatory of Music, in El Paso, TX. She is pleased to be back in Albuquerque teaching piano, voice, and Harmony Road classes at the New Mexico School of Music.
