Graziella DiMauro


Piano

Graziella Di Mauro received her Diploma in Piano Performance from the Luigi Boccherini Conservatory in Lucca, Italy. After moving to the United States, Graziella received her Master's and Ph.D degrees from the University of California at Riverside and from the University of Miami, respectively, with a major in musicology and emphasis in piano performance. Upon completion of her Ph.D., she presented a lecture-recital on Italian piano music with works by Scarlatti, Galuppi, Martucci, and Castelnuovo-Tedesco, among others. After receiving her Ph.D., Graziella joined the faculty of the Department of the Performing Arts at the Miami-Dade Community College, in Miami, Florida, where she taught piano, music appreciation, and the humanities for several years. While teaching, she performed at faculty recitals, in which she was an accompanist and played chamber music. In 1992, she was awarded "Who's Who in the Humanities," and "American Artist." Graziella joined the New Mexico School of Music in November 2009 teaching piano to students at all levels.
