The New Mexico School of Music has been in existence since 2005. We give instruction on virtually
all instruments, including voice, for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, from beginners to
advanced musicians. Our goal is to continue to develop unique and comprehensive curriculum for
students of all musical interests, including classical, popular, jazz, and rock & roll.
The school’s philosophy is to make the study of music engaging, fulfilling, and fun. We want all of our
students to come away from lessons or classes with a positive experience and love of music. Teaching
music is not only about giving instruction on how to read notes or learn a few pieces. It is an opportunity
to expand students’ life skills: communication, patience, discipline, self-confidence, and joy. We realize
that most students will not be professional musicians and we want to provide students of all levels with
a program that adds value and joy to their lives. Each year we expand our curriculum and continually
improve our facilities.
“New Mexico School of Music has been such an amazing experience for our family! The school teachers are very talented and creative. My daughters loved learning the musical instruments at the school and could not wait till the next lesson. They also participated in the recital, which was carefully planned with attention to content and made everyone happy and excited. I also have a lot of appreciation to the school’s director, Tatiana Vetrinskaya, who works restlessly to build an extraordinary school and attract the best teachers and students. Tatiana and all the teachers in the school not only teach music, but also organize and participate in unique series of theory classes and faculty performances. We truly believe that this school provides an incredible opportunity to any young or experienced musicians.”
